As expected by everyone taare zameen par was too gud….very natural..close to real life. Though it was his first movie as director, aamir had taken care of each and evey small detail in the movie. The movie handles the dyslexic stuff in a really good way and darsheel (ishaan in the movie) had done justice to his role.
It was six months back when I first came to know about dyslexia when I was watching my favourite program The Suite Life of Zack and Cody in disney channel. But that was a comedy television series. After that this was the first time I saw dyslexia being handled in a serious manner and that too perfectly…hatsoff to aamir khan. In the movie I did not find any flaws and if there are any…it won’t really matter when compared to the overall movie.
On the whole the movie is really worth watching and I think atleast all the parents and school teachers must definitely watch it…..wht I really liked in the movie was when aamir says every child will learn at one time or the other………only difference is some are fast learners and some are slow learners…..so it makes no sense in troubling the child. Also I liked the scene wherein aamir says “sir, isko tho sirf paas hona hain…iski manzil tho kahin aur hain” (sir, he has to just pass, his destination is somewhere else).
So, ppl if you find time watch this movie definitely.
I heard that Goal movie was supposed to be released on november 23rd…so was checking for pvr tickets from 22nd itself but still the booking was not open and even in the coming movies list goal was not displayed…so I thought the release was postponed……but today I was just chekcing pvr website in the evening at around 4 PM and guess wht tickets were still available….so without wasting anytime I booked a ticket for myself and after 5 mins checked the site again to book for my friend but it was housefull by then…….I was really lucky to get the ticket for the friday show 🙂 .
Anyways now coming to the movie…..Ithe movie was really gud……I liked it………a gud movie after the hopeless saawariya & om shanti om. There are no similarities between chak de and goal…..both of them are gud in their own way…….I found one or two loopholes in the movie but afterall it can’t be 100% perfect 😀 . The story is all about saving the southall united football club. Arshad Warsi’s acting was good……a different role from the one he had in munnabhai….even john abraham and boman irani were gud…….the second part of the movie was much better than the first half….especially the ending was too gud. The first half is all about forming the team……john who was initally in an english team ultimately joins the southall team after he was not selected for the league matches as he was not an english guy.
I was expecting tht definitely there would be some racism related stuff and that was all the movie about….the goras (english) trying to show their superiority over asians….aah this was one movie where it was not only about being indian but they were talking abt india, pakistan and bangladesh together….so the movie was basically goras vs. south-asians 🙂 .The last match is the highlight in the movie. One more reason why I liked the movie was there were no useless songs just to drag the movie…all the ones were according to the situation or just background songs. And finally coming to bipasha’s role, she had nothing much to do……..
On the whole the movie is worth watching…….again a gud sports related movie tht can be a hit.
After a really long long time I could go to a movie on the First Day First Show 🙂 …..and tht too in home theatre 😉
Now coming to the movie, its not tht gud….after looking at the hype created before the movie release, it was a bit of disappointment. There is nothing much in the story…a very simple one…I really can’t understand why Sanjay Leela Bansali had spent so much on the sets n all…..but one thing is tht all the actors had given their best…though new ranbir kappor(raj) n sonam kapoor (sakina) had performed well…and rani mukherjee had done justice to her role (was a bit surprised to see her in tht role 🙂 ).
On the whole it was an average movie in my view.
Looking at the trailers I decided that I must watch the movie. So, even though the reviews were not tht encouraging I booked a ticket for the evening show on a week day. It was raining heavily in blore but somehow managed to reach the theatre on time…..thts my dedication for movies 🙂 😉 .
Now coming to the movie, it was not tht bad as the reviews were projecting. For the whole 2.5 hrs we will never feel bored. But one thing is true abt the movie…its really really confusing…..at one point we dont understand what’s actually happening. We won’t be able to make out whethere john abraham is in a dream or if its reality.
Briefly looking at the story it goes this way…john abraham is a chain smoker n his wife cum secretary ayesha takia wants him to quit smoking. She comes across john’s old friend abbas who could successfully quit smoking by going to a place called prayogshala…and this guy takes an appointment for john as well. Now john under immense pressure of his wife goes to prayogshala to meet baba bengali and ends up signing a contract with him. From then the way things turn out is quite interesting n confusing 🙂 and the audience would be confused if john is in a dream or reality.
The end is tht john quits smoking ultimately. What I understand about the movie is (now everyone would have their own opinion here…..as I said earlier its quite confusing) tht its john’s antharathma (soul) tht undergoes all the agony and not john himself except his fingers being cut (to understand all this u will have to watch the movie for sure). So, I guess the point tht the director wants to make is to make ppl realize wht our soul goes through when we smoke.
Anyways I liked the acting of john n paresh rawal. I think paresh rawal has done a great job….this guy fits in any kind of role be it a comedy role in hera pheri or a serious one as in this movie.
And finally this is just my opinion abt the movie and comments are welcome 🙂
After a long time I feel that I have seen a gud telugu movie. Continuing with his trend of making movies on light subjects, shekhar kammula takes you through the entire four years of btech life in the movie. Its really amazing that he could pack the whole four years of engineering life into 3 hrs of movie without missing out anything. Everyone of us can identify ourselves at some or the other part of the movie. It depicts almost the same stuff which we had been through in our btech days, be it the ragging, internals, externals, attraction towards girls 😀 (sravanthi or sravs in the movie is like DR…hope my btech classmates still remember 🙂 ) , roaming around with friends n lots of other things tht can’t be revealed here 😉 .
On the whole the movie is worth watching n will definitely make you nostalgic. I hope shekhar kammula would come up with more of such gud movies. I would definitely give 10/10 for the movie. And the conclusion is those were really the happy days of my life.
